WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNT?

Individual accounts give you a fully customizable landing page and tools to invite donors to your landing page. Upload your email contact list and get busy getting the word out using either our social media or email features!

Team accounts combine individuals into one account so that donations made to individual pages roll up into the team total. This can be a fun way for you to playfully pit your team members against each other for a fun fundraising goal, or, if you'd like to keep it simple, give everyone their own interface to direct traffic directly to the team page.

HOW DO I FIND AND JOIN MY TEAM?

If you are in touch with your team manager, that individual can send you an invitation link directly. If you are not in touch with them, simply register using the "Join Team" option, find your team in our search engine, and complete the registration process to join.

HOW DO I ADD PEOPLE TO MY TEAM?

After you create your team, people can join either via the registration flow or by invitation, from your dashboard. To have people register and select your team, simply have them register and choose the “join a team” option. The second page of the registration will allow them to search for and select your team. To invite people from your dashboard, log in, and navigate to your dashboard. You will see a link to invite team members. Follow the instructions there.


How do I add people to my team who have already registered?

Send an email to  info@theheroesproject.org with a list of names and emails you’d like added and we will add them for you.

I'M IN, HOW DO I CREATE MY INDIVIDUAL PROFILE?

After you've registered, make sure you're signed in and go to your dashboard at this link. At the top left, find the options to edit your name, your profile photo, and your individual page. The individual page editor gives you full control over your layout. Select headers, text, upload images, to say what you need to say and make the page engaging!

HOW DO I MODIFY MY TEAM PROFILE?

Sign in to the dashboard at this link, and click the link to edit your team page at the top left. If you are not the team owner and would like to make edits, get in touch with the person that invited you to the group.

HOW DO I INVITE PEOPLE TO DONATE?

The platform supports invitations through social media and email.

To share your page via social media, click the social links in your dashboard under your name. The options are Twitter, Facebook, or a direct link you can use in any platform.

To send out invitations using email, first upload your email list into the address book. A CSV file upload is supported, then click into Send Email, form your email, select the audience, and blast off your invitation.

WHAT IMAGE FORMATS DO YOU SUPPORT FOR MY PROFILE

Supported image formats are PNG, JPG or GIF.

CAN I USE THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS TO REGISTER PEOPLE IN MY TEAM?

The short answer is no, as each email address used is given an account to conduct their own fundraising. If you simply want to mention your team in the effort, then we suggest you add their photos directly into the page editor in the team page.

DO MY TEAM MEMBERS HAVE TO REGISTER OR CAN I DO IT FOR THEM?

Each team member is given an account and in order for them to set their own secure, unique password, you'll be sending them an invitation to join rather than creating their credentials for them.

HOW DO I LINK MY SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS TO MY PAGE?

You can modify your landing page any way you want. Use it as a free text editor or upload images and hyperlink them to your social accounts for a more fancy look.

WHEN PEOPLE DONATE, WHERE DO THE FUNDS GO?

For the past 10 years of doing this fundraiser, we’ve used all the money raised to personally change the lives of these veterans individually. Your efforts have had a direct impact on changing and saving our veterans lives, however this year will be even more special because ALL the funds you raise will be used to build California's first and only veterans retreat center right here where you’ll be climbing on November 11th! This center is something our veterans not only want, but a facility they truly need. Help be a part of something so important that it will continue to affect lives for years to come. CAN I DONATE ANONYMOUSLY?

Yes, when someone donates to your page, they have the option to mark themselves as Anonymous.
